Kinjal and Rohit’s Moroccan-Inspired Wedding

Kinjal and Rohit’s Moroccan-Inspired Wedding

An elegantly simple wedding - just what the couple wanted and exactly how it all turned out. Kinjal and Rohit took their New York romance to a Moroccan high with a lovely dark red theme tying together their wedding day events. Here are some stunning images as Kinjal reminisces...

LOVE in NYC is how this couple rolled! They met and started dating in The Big Apple. At the time, Rohit lived there and Kinjal in Arizona. Their first date was very glamorous including chauffeured black cars, red heels and a fancy restaurant as well. “We only needed one date to know it was meant to be!” says Kinjal.

When they first started dating, Rohit and Kinjal were walking through Central Park and he pointed out a spot that would be perfect for a proposal…three years later it happened at that exact spot.

The proposal included a picnic in Central Park followed by a walk where they stumbled upon a sign that said “Bird Watching”.

Kinjal picked up the binoculars and across the lake, sitting in gondolas, were their family and friends with signs that read – “Will you marry me?” Kinjal turned around to find Rohit on one knee.

The wedding was Moroccan-influenced, to match the hotel theme, and was in line with the couple’s fave color- red!

The three most important elements they kept in mind as they began planning the wedding were – family, keeping the process fun and keeping each other happy.

Kinjal shares, “Working with our families and getting closer to them to combine all of our ideas to make it happen” was the best part of the wedding.

The biggest challenge was handling all the elements together. “There is so much to do but we tackled it all slowly and made it a success,” says Kinjal. She was certainly in for a pleasant surprise on her wedding day when Rohit brought out a book of pictures and stories from their most memorable moments together!

Kinjal’s practical advise to other brides on wedding planning is, “It is supposed to be a happy process. Have fun and keep it fun!”
