Traditional Red Bridal Lehenga
Diya wore a traditionally styled red lehenga with pops of colour, designed by the great Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla. Her ceremonial wedding entrance was glamorous, her family followed close behind her in their high fashion outfits.
Two Larger-Than-Life Venues
On April 26, 27 and 28, their wedding extravaganza hosted over 750 guests from countries including India, Belgium, the United Kingdom and the U.S.A.
The daughter of Rosy Blue’s business tycoon Russell Mehta married the son of Amit Jatia, MD of the McDonald’s India Franchise. It was the first ever upscale indian wedding to be held in the Middle Eastern destination!
Diya’s Sangeet was held on a private Ritz-Carlton island which overlooks a picturesque lagoon, and was hosted by more than 250 managers and entertainers, sources say.
Bahrain Bay’s Four Seasons hosted the grand reception and housed many of the wedding’s guests. The five-star estate rises on 60 storeys and 12-acres of private property overlooking the Arabian sea.
The estate shut down to the public for three days because of the Mehta-Jatia family buyout.
The sangeet night ended in a dazzling display of fireworks over Bahrain Bay!
The high rise offers views of the city at night and amenities including penthouse restaurants, entryways by sea, luxurious chandeliers with over 75,000 Czechian crystals and a ballroom that opens into a garden terrace.
Pale Pink Reception Outfit
The bride was adorned head-to-toe in Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla again. Extravagant beige embroidery was interwoven with pink accents and shimmering silver bridal details for a night of celebrations.
The last outfits Shloka Mehta, bride Diya Mehta and Isha Ambani donned for the sangeet were dreamy Chikankari lehengas with universal gold accents. All three of the bride’s outfits have gone viral on the designer’s Instagram feed.
